Supercars postpones three events, launches Eseries

In case you do not usually follow the V8 supercar Eseries we thought it was worth looking at as a great example of what companies need to do to Survive & Thrive during COVID-19.

The key is to Pivot and Innovate. Instead of losing big money on cancelling events as well as telecoverage, V8 Supercars went virtual with iRacing. The virtual race was telecast and commented on a like a regular race and if you saw it you will know what I mean when I say that with the excellent graphics and commentating, most of the time you forgot it wasn’t a real life race, well until you saw one of the drivers sitting in the lounge room.

The series was broadcast on Foxtel and Kayo and also across their website and social channels, so they are leveraging all digital channels to maximise ROI. The broadcast demonstrated how successful it was with hundreds of thousands watching.
